Hertha Berlin: Chilohem Onuoha joins TSV Hartberg on loan The 21-year-old forward Chilohem Onuoha, who began his career at Hertha Berlin, has joined Austrian Bundesliga side TSV Hartberg on loan. The deal runs until June 30, 2027. Born in Berlin, Onuoha is eligible to play for both Germany and Nigeria. He most recently played for Estrela Amadora in Portugal. Before that, he was with 1. FC Köln and SC Verl, where he made 33 appearances in the German third tier, scoring six goals.

Who is Chilohem Onuoha? The 1.88m-tall striker started his career in Hertha Berlin’s youth academy and won the German U17 Bundesliga North/North-east title with the club in 2021/22. He later moved to RB Leipzig and then to 1. FC Köln. At SC Verl, he spent the 2024/25 season on loan and scored six goals in the Westphalia Cup.

Why is the move significant? Onuoha has experience playing in different leagues and brings valuable skills to TSV Hartberg. The move gives him a chance to prove himself in the Austrian Bundesliga. For Hertha Berlin, it’s an opportunity to further develop one of their own academy products.

What’s next? Onuoha will remain at TSV Hartberg until the end of the 2026/27 season before returning to Estrela Amadora. For Hertha Berlin, the question remains whether the striker will return to the club in the future.
