Hertha Berlin has shown its solidarity with the victims of the Berlin Pride attack. The Bundesliga team participated in the Christopher Street Day parade for the first time with an official group. "We are shocked by the incident at the CSD in Berlin on Saturday evening", said the team. "Our deepest sympathies go out to the family of the deceased and all those injured." The Hertha Berlin players carried a banner with the inscription "Show your support for diversity" in rainbow colors. "We are deeply saddened that a day meant to celebrate diversity, love, and community ended in this way", said the team. "It was our first time participating in the CSD with an official group." Hertha Berlin is not the only team that has shown solidarity. Also the FC Viktoria Berlin, a women's football team, has spoken out. "We stand for diversity and togetherness", said the team. "Visible and vocal for gay, lesbian, bisexual and queer people, trans and non-binary people, people of color, Muslims, Jews and all who make our society diverse."
