Hertha BSC has a new training kit partner: Home Deluxe from Ostwestfalen. The deal, effective from September 1, brings a six-figure sum for the season and is initially for one year.
New Training Partner
The club has placed the Home Deluxe logo on the empty chest of its training apparel. The company, already known as the naming rights holder of SC Paderborn’s stadium (Home Deluxe Arena), sells exclusive home and garden solutions. Alexander Thoss, CEO of Home Deluxe, said: “Berlin is our capital, Hertha the capital club - we couldn’t say ‘no’.” The agreement applies only to training gear; on match days the main and chest sponsor logo of Sparda-Bank Berlin remains visible.
Greater Reach for Sponsors
The training sponsor gains more visibility through training videos and photos on social media. BILD reports that the deal involves a six-figure amount. In the last season CheckCars generated revenue for Hertha both on match days and during training. The new model follows the trend of training partners gaining additional income and interaction.
Further Partnerships in Sight
In addition to Home Deluxe, the Mall of Berlin logo already appears on the left sleeve of the match kit. New is the premium partner GBE Brokers, an online trading broker, whose logo now appears on training apparel, sweatshirts and jackets. In the stadium the logo is also allowed on the warm-up gear of the professionals. These additional partnerships provide further revenue streams for the capital club.
Outlook
Hertha BSC remains at the forefront of the current trend, where training partners are increasingly important. The club plans to unveil the new collaborations publicly next week.
